I have taken pre-mature retirement from the Army in Jan this year, after two decades of service. I am presently settled at Secunderabad, and want to start a second career in the HR domain, at a position commensurate to my service profile and experience. I would be thankful, if those willing to assist in my placement, can contact me on my email add or on mobile No 09490420192. My resume is attached for required reference and necessary assistance. Thanks in advance.

Dear Parag,
I appreciate your frankness and brush with reality, but I not appreciate the idea of hiding behind a veil. However in your case, do not lose heart, because if you have the required talent then it will surely be recognised. Remember, "Samay se Pahle, aur Kismat se Zyada, na Kisi ko Mila Hai, aur na hi milega". Just try to extract the best from what others tell you. It is same as one scientist who failed 100 times before coming up with his invention. When asked by a reporter about his 100 instances of failure, he said, " those were not failures, rather those were the successes in knowing 'what not to do' to reach here".
If this Forum will be of no help, that will not be the end of the world. I will then start looking for other options. All the best to you too!!!!!!!!!!

Well Mr. Ranvir! Pls. Dont get me wrong. I have proven skills & experience but it is because of recession I am findin to it difficult to switch my career.
I did ask these people here to tell me about career options n courses in hr but didnt get any reply. (M not complaining) But if you do it the way suggested by me you will get some good replies and not DIPLOMATIC ANSWERS like the above one.
You cvan also try other sites aswell. anyways I ve decided what to do and how to proceed. :)
You have huge experience and you must be great in planning and implementation (After all u are an army officer.) I really feel that you have opted for right second career choice

Dear Ms Shabana,
Thanks a ton for your wonderful gesture. I am reminded of the saying, " it is better to extend one hand to help, than joining two for a prayer". I wonder how the consultants known to you can help me as I am seeking an opportunity at Hyderabad/Secunderabad only, and their focus would primarily be towards Mumbai. Anyways, my CVs are already uploaded here, and I think it will be more beneficial to me if you forward it to them. Please do so, whenever you find time and also speak to them if possible.
All the best to you too.

Dear Parag,

I think you misunderstood my reply. I was in no way trying to contradict you, it was only that for the type of help I am seeking the suggested option would not have worked. rather it may also not be recommended for 'professional networking' sites.

Why don't you try to analyse the reasons for getting little or no response? Maybe the members found your queries too difficult or too basic to respond. Maybe there was a very less number of desired target audience, who could provide the desired input. There could be a few more.

And also ponder on this........... why would someone waste time in just giving a 'diplomatic reply'? Rather 'no reply' would be a far better time saving option for that individual.

So, cheer up, and as I said earlier, extract something good out of this experience and move on with it.

To push ourselves on in the Army, we usually tell ourselves, 'nobody sent me an invitation to come here'. The same funda can be applied here. Focus on the silver lining of the cloud, an succeed with positivity.

Bored with my ML (moral lecture)? Here is a joke related to it to make you smile:-

Santa's son (while filling a form) - Papa, ....................mother tongue?

Santa :- Son, veryyyyyyyyyyy long. :)

All the best then.
