I am highly agreed with above mention statement. As per today scenario beauty with brain is common phrase which require to excel in your career. In today context the person posses both the things are stepping ahead as compare to other.
My suggestion now days person give more focus on his /her personality and do self introspect what area we are lacking in our personality. This exercise helps in finding out basic areas where the person has to be improved.

1. Smartness
2. Confidence Level
3 Diplomacy
4. Emotional Intelligence
5 Empathy

You are right. But the examples you quoted are wrong. Mother Teressa was a socialist and Narayanamurthy is an entrepreneur. He was not suppose to face the market himself and use his looks and personality to flatter the customers. His software would do the talkings.
While in case of Mother Teressa, How many of us know that she became popular only in the last decade of her socialiism? She was obviously not good looking by that time. And if it is considered that she was gorgeous during her younger ages than the question arises Why didn't she gain accomplishments during that time?
There are no obvious answers to this but than looks are really industry oriented job roles. As i mentioned in earlier note we wont like Airhostess who is ugly or plumpy!! So in that case we would generally prefer good looking crew members.
This topic changes its shape when you go on telephonic selling. I had worked part time for BPO and was highest selling executive there. Now the customers took it implied that the voice reflects the personality and they thought i might be good looking.
They bought things just because they loved my voice.
There are certain things which are best left untouched.

Thanks 4 your response.Ah...you are partially right telling my examples are wrong.well.,at initial stages how did N..murthy get his clients? Thru his intelligence?or his simlicity?or his looks? or what? Here the field (socialism) is not imp?When you have public contact,what is your USP that is important. It is very difficult to single out one issue.You mentioned about air hostess.Is it not our own creation of culture,centuries back,that defined beauty etc.we are already programmed to all these aspects.One question,good looks of air hostess,again,differ from country to country, culture to culture and again it is perceptive.Air hostess of africa or America.....may not look gorgeous in other country. Ultimately, Beauty is in the eyes of beholder.Todays beuty may be ugly tomorrow,when you change your priorities,necessities,expectations,wants,needs,de sires.......
