Really interesting topic..........

Options as below:

1) Maintain relationship is not bad with any boss whether male or female boss. Relationship always should be maintained. In this case, HR Manager has no any business.

2) Maintain relationship is bad with any boss or employee when It affects the company business. but how??/? so many ways.......like personal relationship affects the productivity of both employees if it is going in the work premises. But if this personal relationship is out of business premises, no any business of HR Manager. If this relationship within organisation, ceratinly HR Manager has to play important role of counselling to put her on company business track.

3) If boss (female) insists assistant for romance in the business premises and matter comes to the HR dept, certainly HR Manager has to search all options to sort out the issue. He has to conduct the domestic enquiry and based on the findings, he has to give opportunity to expalin. After hearing of all, HR will issue show cause notice, if that boss found guilty in this regard and that boss will be punished based on natural justice. If this case is of termination, ceratinly file will be put up for her termination to MD/CEO.

4) If Rank of HR Manager and that lady boss are the same, its easy to find the solution. HR Manager must be friend of that lady boss. During chating with her, he will find all truth and he will counsel her not to do any wrong thing which affects the image or productivity. If she ll try to continue, certainly HR manager will take action against her.

5) One more thing, no body knows why she wants to develop the relation with assistant. Reasons may be many than what we expect. Reasons like

a) she may be interested with marraige, if her age permits to do so.

b) she may be interested with marraige of her children with assistant children, if this is the case.

c) she may be interested to do some malpractice within the organisation with the help of assiastant, if she is in administration or finance or etc....

d) she may be interested to do some extra work for the company with the help of assiastant and assistant is condering its wrong way.

e)................so many reason to maintain the relations........

In Short, If she is trying to involve in malpractice or unethical, certainly HR manager will take action as per company policy. If her intension is different and nothing with business, HR manager has nothing to do.

Well...find out the truth.
Listen to both sides.
Speak to other people who are related to the manager about his behavior etc. Ideally speaking, it is a case of sexual harassment. Remember, if that lady leaves your organization...she will be a "Bad Advertisement" for the company. So, act accordingly. If possible change her department.

If the boss is female and she like to have "Physical" relations with her Male Subordinate. It still constitutes to be "Sexual Harassment"...and being in HR you might find it difficult to prove that the guy is right and boss is wrong.
Speak to the friends or team members of both and find out about their character.
Such things can happen, if
1) The boss, that lady is from very good management institute.
2) If she is from big or rich family.
3) If her relative or family person is among the powerful people in the organization.
4) If she is unmarried or divorcee
5) If such is her character or nature.
There is also a possibility that the guy "extra smart"...want to misuse her...want her to favor him or do certain things for him and when she refused...he has created this story.
So, just one statement will not get proper response...need to go into the details.

Hi Pranav,
First thing, the boss and subordinate both lose their jobs very soon if they are more into relationship with one another rather than doing their jobs. Secondly, one cannot mix personal preferences and personal likings with our jobs and we should keep all these 'personal things' out of the way of our jobs and offices. Once one is out of the office, any one can do anything as far as his personal life is concerned but once in office it is strictly no to romance, relationships, love and all such things which not only hamper the efficiency levels of an individual but creates a lot of disturbance in work atmosphere. So it's better to avoid this kind of pleasures in job and do justice to one's job during his presence of 8 hours in the office.

thanks for your views on the given subject.
as per ur views i
If she maintains relationship out side the comany then it is non of the business and the subordinate will not even complain.
if marriege in her card then also it will not disturb the company environment.
As per sanjeev, Dept. canot be changed because if a employee is working in say Finance dept. you canot send him to other dept. on the reason that he has no knowledge of other dept. functions and why should he pay the price for other fault.
Dont u feel the it is becoming interesting to discuss more on the same.

Hello.
I don't think there is much to discuss on this topic...just because that "female boss is asking the male sub-ordinate to get physical with her"...and it looks spicy to readers and listeners.
As I said...you need to check the background of both.
If the lady have such history of asking males to have relations with her or
If the male have any history of accusing his female colleagues or bosses…or spreading such stories and rumors about his female colleagues…
I think, you will get your solution…by doing both the activities.
