Hi i am a 48 year old engineer professional with a successful career in maintenance project management sales & marketing. as a part fo my job i have done quite a bit of training but not as professional trainer. i had long recognised the need for training and have done the training on my own and often when the organisational culture was not in support of my training efforts. i have been very excited about assessing and building competence in an organistion. but i have no professional training in in this area. i now want to pursue a career in training & development and i am willing to start learning from the scratch... but please dont ask me to go and do an mba. i have a in marketing and one in finance.. can some kind person adivce me as to how to about it. bala

Dear cite hr members i have an query of how one establish a successful career in the field of training and development. i am from delhi and i am aware of the institute istd which offers diploma in training and development but after the completion of course are the student placed by istd as well as this is a distance learning course. what are the other alternatives that one can consider while starting up a career in training and development? i hope all the trainerscorporate freelance and professionals in t&d would suggest lot of ways through which i can establish a career in t&d. just to add up i have done my bachelors of science in management from an international university and about to complete my masters in hr from symbiosis distance learning. i have almost 2 years of experience in the field of hr corely into talent acquisition employee engagement internal communication.
