Payroll to be termed in simple, it is the calculation of employees salary deductions or allowances as a whole (pf,esi, da, hra, etc.,). Normally these payroll process will come under human resource department and it will be maintained separately in large size business like MNC, where as small size business have some workforce to calculate or they might outsource.
