One of our employee met with an accident while working and sustained 60% burn injury. The employee was admitted immediately in local ESI hospital and they reffered to Govt. Medical college for treatment. The employer spent around Rs.1.5 lakhs towards his medical treatment. After the IP recovered from injury he submitted the medical bills to Directorate of ESI with an undertaking that the entire medical expenses have been born by the employer as such the admissible amount may be reimbursed to the Employer. But ESI authority are refusing to reimburse the amount to employer rather they want to make payment directly to the IP. If the IP does not make payment to the empmployer what is the remedy for the employer?
There is no rule to pay medical bills reimbursment to employer. ESI authority will pay this amount direct to employee not to employer.
You can convience to employee for the payment recovery.

dear sahil is absolutely right and this payment has to be made to employee only.there is no provision to give this amount to employer. tks j s malik
