I just posted my first topic as a new member & i was saying that I have to write my thesis really soon in HR. I've been struggling to choose one, wish I found this useful site with the assistance it provides to non professional HR people before. Last title i though of was "Evolution of HR in Jordan: Applying Ulrich's model & Kearn's HR maturity scale" as a methodology im thinking of interviewing HR directors from several industries, and from the government, the private & non profit sectors to see the reality of their HR departments by applying the above mentioned models. maybe concentrate on Ulrich's more...
I would really appreciate any feedbacks, specially from the seniors. Excuse me if I dont know any names yet, but I'm still new :)
Thank you so much in advance

The People Capabilty Maturity Model (http://www.sei.cmu.edu/cmm-p/) could also give you a framework to be applied in asking about these Practices and what is really being done in the sample of organizations you are studying.
It can be downloaded from the website given or bought in book form (published by Pearson, and authored by Curtis, Hefley and Miller.)
Cheers,
Dr. Bill Hefley

Luma,
I don't, but I might suggest a quick review of either a literature index of published journal articles, or perhaps a search using a variety of relevant keywords in Google Scholar (www.google.com/scholar) to see what you might find that would be relevant. Also is there an HR association in the country you are examining that may hjave published some current state of the practice report to help you?
