Maternity leaves - company already accounted my leaves under maternity from july-20. what should i do?
Hello everyone please give some clarity on this matter. currently i am experiencing maternity and my delivery due date is in sep20. today my company hr has told me that i need to avail my maternity leaves prior to 8 weeks from the due date of delivery i.e from july20. however i do not wish to avail it this much early. currently i am completely fine without any complications and i wish to save my leave for later days post my delivery for me and my baby care but they are already accounted my leaves under maternity from july20. what should i do?

Hi we are entitled for 37 leaves for a year inclusive el female employees are entitled to a maximum of 12 weeks paid maternity leaves & in case of miscarriage she can avail 6 weeks of paid leaves. my question is these leaves are including if 37 leaves which are already given to each and every employee or its excluding 37 leaves. kind regards aavni tandon

Hi i am 4 months pregnant and working in an it company. i have got an offer from another it company. will i be able to join that company and avail maternity leaves? in my current company notice period is 3 months. i am trying to negotiate it for a month so that i can join new company by end of next month. is it possible for me to take maternity leaves from mid/end of november in new company?

Dear members i have been informed by my company hr that " the maximum period an employee is entitled to maternity benefit is 12 weeks of which not more than 6 weeks shall precede the date of expected delivery of the child." i understand that in total i can avail 12 weeks paid maternity leaves however any complication arises and require pre ml than it should not exceed more than 6 weekspaid and rest 6 week would be availed post delivery. however my hr confirmed me that in total i can avail 6 weeks leave and further extension of leave would be considered as lwp. request your comments & correct me if i have misinterpreted the clause. warm regards charu
Maternity leave - autonomous government organization on contract basis?
Hello everyone i am working in an autonomous government organization on contract basis. initially my contract was for two years which extended for one more year and going to expire in august 2017. in my contract it has been written that my leaves are on prorata basis. i can avail medical leave for 10 days and if my medical condition is not ok or taking more than 10 days then i can return to my home at loss of pay. right now i am pregnant and wanted to apply for maternity leave if it si possible then with full pay. here everyone saying that i can not avail maternity leave either with pay or without pay. is it true in my case? or i should get maternity leave? if i could avail maternity leave then with pay or not? please suggest me in this regard.
