Dear All,
I need your gudiance in framing external desigantion for employees. We are Trading Organisation . Intetnally we have Pay Grades which is based on Experince, Qualification, job description etc. However, many times, a person may be in the Assistant Manager Grade, however he may be handling Regional Profile. From the Job Profile view, we need to give him Regional Manager Desigantion for Business Card. This also help the sales person to get respect from the Dealers/cusotmers etc. Now, We would like to frame a policy to have clear cut guidelines for External designation to be used in Business Card. Kindly guide or send me policy, incase you have framed it.

It differs from organization to organization, in this context better to have job families and employee grading. The designation may be different and for all practical ie., your increment, benefits the grading may be useful.
If any possibility obtain the information from friends in the similar industry or else call for a meeting of HODs, brainstorm and finalize the structures and career paths.
