I need your guidance / support in resolving the ATTITUDE ISSUE as i am bit confused.
I have recently (20 days) joined an IT company with the employee strength of 100 and I have given a task to address the ATTITUDE TRAINING for MIDDLE AND LOWER MANAGEMENT employees. i.e, Project Manager & Team Members, Practically not Orally (no lectures)
Respectively, I have referred different Attitude measureable scale systems and i felt LINKERT's SCALE would be suitable but again this would only be a measurable system through employees feedback.
I think Practically we can measure the Attitude of employees through some PROJECTIVE TESTS.....(like questioning unstructured stimulus situation)
Please advice me with some ideas as to how to proceed further with Projective Tests??.
Kindly do let me know if you have any other ideas other than what i have mentioned above.

Dear Kevina,

Personally I feel Likert’s scale would be best for carrying out employee attitude survey. For carrying out Projective test, you need trained and specialized people who can administer projective tests as well as score and interpret them and believe me it’s no child’s play. To add to it be expensive affair too. Usually, Likert’s scale is used for the purpose mentioned by you – you could also support this exercise by having focus groups, interview etc to gain more insight. The extent to which employees will paint a true picture would depend on their faith in organization and systems, their rapport or comfort level with you and also how well you (company) has sold the idea of “need for attitude survey”. Do they believe the results are going to fetch some changes or it will be a mere eye wash fancy kind of exercise?

If you want I could send you the questionnaire which we had used for our company and we named it as “employee feedback survey” which basically aimed at noting employee’s perception for organization and many other factors.
