Hi,
I have a query regarding notice period
Suppose if an employee gives a notice period of 15 days but has worked only for 7days (including sundays and holidays), do we need to take 15 days as notice period or 7 days
I would appreciate if anyone could help me for the same.

Hi Nithya,
To get a large response, try to post this query on any other heading.
So the rest days falling short in lieu of notice if adjusted towards any available leave at credit then it is 15 days.

Hi Nithya, Actually he had worked only 7 days instead of 15 days therefore take it 7 days notice and deduct rest of the days (notice period) from his salary. Regards, John

hi Nitya,
If a person was bound to serve a notice period of 15 days and he has served the notice of just 7 days than yes, you need to deduct the rest of the time period's amount from his full and final settlement and in most of the cases it can not be adjusted with the earned leave balance, coz thecalculation for both are different.
