Hi Seniors,
Can any one help me giving start of What exactly is "HR Logistics". Is this industry adapting in the present scenario. please post any good links or materials of HR logistics. Appericiate your help..:-|
Regards,
Sharath Javvaji

Hi Sharath,
I am new to this term. Thanks for sharing. From what I searched and found abt HR logistics is that - there exists one co which offers HR services u can pick and chose from <link outdated-removed>
That does not serve the purpose of ur question here. From what I understand from the word -
Logistics: Deals with procurement, maintenance, distribution and replacement of matreial and personnel.
So HR Logistics may mean the proper and effective utilization of the resources and planning for additional reqd man power resources. But the word HR itself mean Human Resources / Human Relations and the proper management on the same.
This is Ash's view as she did not find online material to support her views. I am just hoping that if someone possesses good knowledge on the same could share some thing on this term..
I am curious. . . . plssssss let me know if such a term exists. If so, wat does it mean?

As far as i know, there is no concept as HR Logistics. LIke Asha says <link outdated-removed> offers HR outsourcing services.
There is another one Elite HR Logistics: A full-service staffing company serving the trucking and warehouse industries of Northern California <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) which caters to Logistics and Supply Chain industry
Thus you find both use the term HR Logistics in completely different contexts.

hiiiiiiiiii I satish have joined logistic industry recently ,please help me to be aware of hr functions & how to apply .
Hi everyone - I don't know how old this thread is, but I wanted to express my views since I started a company in the U.S. called HR Logistics in 2002. I have the U.S. rights to the name, and for a long time there was only one other company by this name located in India.

In the beginning, no one seemed to understand the concept of HR Logistics which - IMO - is the management and delivery of talent resources and infrastructure to the organization. Logistics includes balancing performance against cost, supply vs. demand, and maintenance of the delivery system used to identify, capture, retain and provide talent. To me, it has all of the characteristics of logistics but you are applying the concept to intellectual property and talent instead of manufacturing or supply chain in the traditional sense.

Companies using some version of HR Logistics as as title are starting to pop up in various places. You mentioned the Elite HR Logistics in California, and I have discovered others while we have been in business for 13 years. You can check our our web site at hrlogistics.us. The link given above at hrlogistics.net seems to be closed at this point.

I believe the growth of this term is coming from the continued migration of Human Resources toward structured business methodologies and analytical thinking. Business oriented professionals who have entered HR as their specialty have always understood exactly what it meant.

Regards,
Kristie Evans
