I need help. I m currently pursuing last sem of MMS. Planning to do final yr. project in PMS. I have collected data for the same from a Pharmaceutical Co. The problem is, the manager askd me to keep the co. name confidential. If i m preparing a project report, is it ok to not mention the company name ??
I dont understand how to go about this.

If the person who has given you the data is asking you to keep the name of the company confidential, in my opinion, it should be respected. You could mention in your report accordingly. What does your project guide say?

You shuld keep the Company name confidential. Just mention in ur Project " A leading pharmaceutical company specialized in ...."

I jus want to know if it is ok to prepare the project report without the company details. My project guide says that it will be more of a case study...

Well Neeta,
It is absolutely fine not to mention the name of the Company in the project report.
You could mention that "Due to the nature of the business certain information of confidential nature has not been mentioned, but the purpose of the project has not been affected because of the same."
Just provide:
Name of the co: Confidential.
A "$ " co specislized in.....
U could provide an ambigious profile..without the name but with the nature of the business.

Its must that you need to keep the company name Confidential, As a respect for your manager and to have a productive project work and not to spoil your name and ur College name in that pharma company.
You can give your project title as " A Study on PMS in a leading Pharama Company"
Finally in the Project presentation or Viva Voice you can give in the bottom line - Certain information are kept confidential as on request by the management which did not hinder the purpose of the project work.
The questioner you can upload it from your profile directly.
