hi
it is not a big problem.actually it is due to hesitation. first of all you have to believe that you are not weak in means that you are accept that you are very good in english communications this positive affermative will help you when you are telling this upto tem time daily loudly. the second thing is that you have to start reading newspapers and try to listen english news through the radio because it increases the listening skills which are helpful to improve english. the next step is to think in english most of people think in hindi and then translate it in to english that is much time consuming so you have to develop the habbit to think in english.
BEST WISHES TO YOU:icon6::icon6:

Dear Shekhar,
Read the Times Of India, make a note of words and their meanings that are new to you. Memorise them. If you continue reading TOI in due course of time your sentence structure, grammar, evrything will improve. Try conversing in English and tell people to correct you if you make a mistake, dont feel shy about it, it will only help. Also, am attaching some material I had got from this site long back, it will help u in communicating effectively.
All the best.

Hi,
Solution to your problem lies in your hand itself.First and foremost thing that you need to do is improve your vocabulary. Then learn English grammar thouroghly.Simultaneoulsy watch Englsih channels and have a habbit of reading english newspaper and magazines. Then the most important part comes,START SPEAKING ENGLISH.Until and unless you start communicating in English, you won't be able to communicate in English.Never worry about the ones who teases you.Because need is yours and you will get it.But remember "No pain ,no gain"!So wish you good luck:)

Dear Sekhar :

Do not worry !! There are some tips which you can follow.

1. YOu need improve your Word power. For this you can read a 1/4 th of English News paper (preferably Hindu). Take out a note pad & Pen. From the news whatever you have read from there you need note down the atleast 10 words in a day.

2. Repeat the same exercise next day also. While going for the next day's news paper before reading just review and memorise the old words which you have learned on day 1. LIke this you have to do the exercise. By the month end you will be having 300 words in your memory.

3. Try to use the words which you have learned. Talk when you are alone by using these words. Try to express or share these words to your friends. The advantage is your knowledge will grow when you share.

4. Mirror Technique : Practice in front of a mirror. Then observe your facial expressions. You will automatically find out the problem to some extent

If you get a time read the book ' Word power made easy' by Norman Lewis. It will boost up your vocabulary.

Try to observe the English news and observe how the sentences are getting connected etc. When two people are talking in English also you observer their conversation and try to understand and try to utilise the wording they are using whenever you get a chance.

Remember one thing !! The City 'Rome' has not built in a day.... Practice makes man perfect. If you do the above exercise you will become a master very soon. For me there is not Guru in English. But the zeal made me much stronger. Now I am able to give presentations in the Board of Directors also.

All the best !!

I would suggest you read English Newspapers, Magazines and more importantly watch English news channels.. They are a very good way to learn these days.. But, bear in mind that the transformation cannot happen over night.. keep putting your efforts results will come on their own..

hi sekhar,
i think u shud work on the topic of the representation rather on ur English. Jst ignore others sitting before u.. n always think that u know better than them... u r genius..
Talk in English with ur friends and family so that some hesitation will go away. always ask for the feedback for your representation not for ur english. right?? also try to improvenise in front of the mirror as suggested above.be confident coz the more u become conerned about a thing others will also notice it otherwise others will only listen to your knowlegeable lecture or representation:icon10: so be cooool!
