Dear Jayavishali, It should be mentioned in your appointment letter. How much your Notice Period? Bcz, company wise notice period is vary. Some company have one month, two month or three month notice period. If you not get notice period in appointment letter then ask indirectly to your hr department. Kindly feel free to contact if any confusion.

Jayanthi, If you wish to resign from your current employer, you will need to tender in your resignation on paper to your reporting manager, who in turn will forward the same to your HR. From your appointment letter, you can know the notice period to be served ( 1 month in your case), then you also need to mention in the letter, if you would serve the 1 month notice or like to be relieved earlier to that. Pls note that if you don't serve the notice period, the orgsn is likely to deduct shortfall in notice period from your full and final settlement. Hope this helps and wish you luck in your new assignment. ..Suja

If you wish to know how to communicate about your notice period. Put in ur resignation letter. "Please consider the date of this resignation letter (put the actual date) as the start of my notice period" Hope this helps.

Dear Jayanthi I do agree with suja. Serve the one month notice period.Dont forget to keep a copy of your Resignation letter, will be helpful and supportive for your next employer as a reference. You can send either by mail or write in a paper and handed over as a person to your Reporting manager Regards Venkatesh 9841160500

Hi, There are 2 ways here 1. you cans serve your compltete 1 month notice period 2. you can check if notice period can be bough ie if you your PM agrees to releive you before 1 month , you can check with ur hr on the buyout amount that would be deducted from your salary at F&F and you cab get it reimbursed once you join in other company

Dear jayanthi, As already mentioned by shreyansh, the notice period varies from company to company. But as it is mentioned in your appointment letter that you have to serve notice for 1 month, then i would suggest you to go for the same, as later on if you do not leave the current company with good relations, you need pay for it in later stage. Make your base and foundation strong so that without any fear and hesitations you can go ahead with your future.:icon1: Regards, Manjusha
