Hi,
I m new to this forum, n i want help of all cite hr members.. I am working in a consultancy, and wnt to shift myself into a generalist profile.. but i m into hard core recruitments, and i dnt hv any knowledge hw to make generalist profile, so that i can get interview calls.. so i hope u all wl help me out.. i have done my pgdba in hr n operations.. What should i write in my resume coz f tht i start getting calls from companies side..

if u r looking for genralist profile then u hv to involve in following responsibilities….
Human Resource Planning and Management( where u will be responsible for making policy formats,Manual etc}
Recruitment and Selection( All recruitment process frm begnging to end like sourcing of cv’s screening,interview calling selecetion,joining formalities etc)
Compensation and benefits( Salary ,wages of emplyess and other benefits )
Training & Development( All training activities TNI Training calendar Training implementation,Training evaluation etc,}
PerformanceManagementsystem(JD,KRASetting,KPI,Perf ormanceevaluation}
Employee Retention
Legal complaices like PF ESIC Gratituty

heyy u cant mentioned thses if dont hv any exp..so first take the exp.....u should be crurios to learn abt thees things...and u hv to slowly involve in thse all profile....for being a gud generalist u shuld hv atleat 3 to 4 yrs of exp ....as i think....

Hi Nisha,
Get theoretical knowledge first. The same will help you at the time of interview & show interest in Gene profile. Show you are interested in the profile & tell them if given oppurtunity will give your best.

Thanks, I gave many interviews and i m even telling them tht i m intd for generalist profile, but where ever i m gng they r sayng thy need a person who has experience in generalist profile they wl consider those people, i m hvng exp in recruitments only, and i cnt mention abt generlist profile in my resume also, coz i do nt hv practical knowledge, wat ever i m learning i m learning frm ths site only.. wat shud i mention n my cv coz of tht i wl get openng in generalist profile..

Hi Nisha,

I agree with you that due to economic slowdown jobs are scarce; but recruitment is still going on India. The difference, is only the best of the crop gets selected because employers have a large pool of candidates to choose from. Hence job seeker's strategy should be to try and become the best.
