Hi,
Please let me know the procedure to be followed: if an employee who goes on a week's casual leave does not resume to work and No intimation received on extension of leave? He has not resigned from our services/not served the notice period or paid the salary in lieu of notice period.
We understand that this employee has taken up a job with another company? Is there a legal procedure that we can intimate the HR of the other company about this employee's absconding from work and joining them?
what action needs to be taken in such cases?
Please advise.
regards

Dear Navya,
You can take disciplinary action for his unauthorised absence or issue notices to resume duties to the concerned employee for making the case of self abondonment from services. Give reasonable opportunities as there is no hard & fast rules. If you have C S O then take action as per these Orders. It ia also intimated that there is no legal procedure for intimating the HR personnel of the unit where he have joined.
