There is a contract (maintanance contract which includes providing of manpower) between a contractor and govt deptt(principal employer). As per general conditions of contract , if there is any increase of minimum wages by any govt act or notification, the same is payable to contractor, but at the same time, as per special condition of contract, contractors has to quote rates as firm and final for the contract period
During the continuation of contract, there is increase in minimum wages of workers, then is it the duty of contractor or principal employer to pay the revised wages?
