Hello friends,
I'm Sudarsan.R working as a Graphic Designer in a S/W company. I have 6+ years of IT industry experience. I have jus completed my PGDBA (HR) from Symbiosis, Pune.
I'm very passionate about HR & would like to make up a career in HR, but the question uppermost on my mind "Is it wise to shift to HR" at this juncture after all these years in a different domain.
Kindly suggest/advice on this.
Warm regards,
Sudarsan

Dear Sudarsan,
If you are passionate about HR then you should go ahead. This type of changes will intially result in loss, but is profitable in the long run. But you need to be passionate enough to overcome the disadvantages with a smiling face.
If you are asking for better prospects I think Multimedia is in the process of boom and you can benefit immensely if you stay. Graphic Designing as such does not have a big market in India, but Web Designing, Animations, Gaming have huge future.
Regards,

Dear Sudarsan, HR degree is not enough to get into HR field. You must have interest too.
Before shifting think twice that you have to deal with all types of human being in HR.
You are from IT background you might not interact with people from other fields. It is challenging job.
