Im confused and dont know which is the better one.
Help plz........

Hi,
I know that this post was dated in Feb 2009 I am in a same situation, May be you can advise HOW was your experince when you had used the titles.
I am planning to shift my job role from customer service technical associate to BA role. I got my resume updated with my projects (one project as a freelancer and other in my current job)
I was part of kaizen process improvements and all requirement gathering etc so added all that .
However at the title I am in a dilemma whether or not to keep my designation in my resume as customer service technical associate (as in exit letter ) or Business Analyst the work I did.
I have well versed knowledge on BA roles duties and have fulfilled it too

It is always advisable to put a designation that is closer to the job-title you are looking for. Having said that, you need to also justify that it reflects in your papers too (appointment letter offer letter or any other official document).
For Jo45: The safe approach would be to use the designation mentioned in the exit letter but highlight the key-word (Business Analyst) in your resume headline and elaborate the role in the resume.
