Hi Jasmeet,

since it is a manufacturing company so it will be bit easy for you to do some of these things as in manufacturing company you have ti strictly follow the laws
  1. recruitment - as you have worked in a consultancy so recruitment is not a tough job for you.
find out the vacancies either new or the replacement, sit with their reporting heads, work for JD's and then you can find the candidates. always remember to float resource requsition from to the reporting heads hat what they actually wants.
  2. incentive - for ncentive you have to work with the edoartment heads that on what basis they want to distribute incentives. always try to distribute according to the performance. for that you have to prepare their KRA first then only you can measure their performance and give incentive
  3. attendance - for this in any manufacturing unit the muster roll is used. this is mandatory for any manufacturing firm. so do that and it will be easier fro you.
  4. leave - in muster roll only after the dates there are 5 columns left viz. CL, EL, LWP, Total working days, Total present. here you can maintain leave.
so go ahead with this and if you need some more help then do drop a private message to me.

Hi Jasmeet,
it usually hapens to the new employees that either the employees are very older and also haveing more experience.
so try to handle all the employees accordingly. there is not specific mantra to handle all the employees in a same way. for everyone the style chagnes.
so for this , try to increase your floor interaction. talk to them individually. you will come to know their soft corners and then start tackling them.

Dear Jashmeet,
Its most common in companies in the initial state. First be clear of your roles and responsibilities. Get the clear picture of your protocol.
If necessary ask your reporting person to arrange a meeting for every one and let them know about your importance in the company.

Dear Jasmeet,
Welcome to the HR World.
Here i would like to suggest that, when people doesnt know what is HR & importance of HR, the best way to deal in such conditions as per my knowledge is concern
Meet your employees.
Talk to your employees.Use all ur skills in communication and all modes of communication.
Ask them about their problems relates to HR.
If possible collect DOBs of Employees & take print out which contains wishes and put it in Notice Board.
Try to build confidence on you in your employees.
These things may be smaller but gives you huge advantage.
This is my practical experience.
Pl revert at any time on my mail id

So its a right opportunity to perform and prove your talent. First of all study the HR system well in your organisation. Understand the requirement and approach address things one by one. If you think you are not able to handle everything by yourself, you must outsourse the services of consultants. Recruitment, Training and for systematisation works they will guide you better.
Regards,
Shijit.
