Dear All,
I am recently join a new company. In this company they are not maintain any accounting records. i have some problem in reconcile the company bank account.
Our opening balance of bank account 100000/- Dr
They issue one cheque of Rs.10000/-
and the cheque is clear but when i put a date in reconcile statment the amount is decrease instead of increase.

its better to take on e excel sheet
firstly take bank statement for your account and then take cheque book which paymwnts made by company for that month
accordingly check which cheques has cleared then which checkes yet tobe cleared
then tally the balance out standing
