Hi,
I work in a midsized IT company with 240 headcount across India (3 centres). Till now we were doing cost management thru softer measures like hiring freeze, freezing any new or additional expense, unless it is revenue linked, or otherwise critical for our operations etc.
But now time has come to resort to the harsher measures i.e laying off ( esp low performers, and people on bench).
We would like to do it in a very smooth and sweet mannrer and try our best to help the laid off staff.
I would request the seniors to please elaborate how it can be done, how can we make the exit smooth and sweet.
Please help.
