I AM WORKING FOR A SOFTWARE/IT COMPANY.
PLEASE HELP ME ON THE BELOW CASUAL LEAVE POLICY ISSUE:
IF ANY EMPLOYEE WILL TAKE LEAVE ON FRIDAY AND MONDAY. THE TOTAL LEAVES WILL BE CALCULATED AS 4 DAYS OR 2 DAYS.
PLEASE HELP ME AND CLARIFY THE SAME.

Hi Srini ,
I also work in a IT company . In my organisation too for any holiday / Weekend which is in between 2 casual leave is also counted .

hi,
First it depends upon the policy of the organization
Secondly in my opinion as i m student not a professional HR officer in some organization ... both any holiday / Weekend which is in between casual leave is also counted ... as when you are on job you are paid for any holiday or for weekend and you are treated as on job not on holiday ... similarly when you go on holidays, you cannot be treated as on job employee, you will be treated as employee on holiday.

It completely depends upon the company policy. If your organizations dont work on Weekends then they may just consider the 2 days which were taken as sanctioned leave from the employee. But it depends on what procedures are implemented & followed within the company.

Hi Srini,
I think almost all the company follows the same rule.
If you are on leave Friday and Monday then it is treated as 4 days leave.
The present and the previous company where I was working used to follow the same.
