I am working in HR Deptt. I got an offer from an organization. They are asking me, my expected salary. I mentioned in my resume as negotiable, but they are asking for a figure.
How much should I ask for ? What is the increasing trend for an HR prof. ? How much % hike should be normally asked for ?
Please suggest.
Thanks and regards,

I beg your pardon... I couldn't get your point clear...
I asked this question, since in our organization, HR people are not good earners.... in previous organizations also, I found a similar trend.

NO MENTION, ITS SIMPLE FUNCTION:
CALCULATE YOUR SALARY DIVIDED BY NUMBER OF YOUR EMPLOYEE STRENGTH AND MULTIPLY BY THE PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYERS EMPLOYEE STRENGTH......:-D
THIS WILL BE YOUR EXPECTED SALARY.....

Hi!
An increase of 30% of you current package if you have worked for more than 1 year. If not than be ready to accept anything between 15 - 20% rise depending on your qualification, experience and industry you have been working in.

Hi Surubhi,
u should ask them standard hike (30% to 50%), but as a market condition is very worst, you need to check out with them how much they can offer for the position which you have got.

Dear
Its good to communicate the figure to an HR .. But their is again a problem of might ur expected figure is seems to be higher side of their existing one on same position,, so it would be suggested that do a small survery on that company what is they pay for similar position at present scenierio
Any before telling any figure keep in mind the presen situations and then act upon..
Have a good day
