Dear All,

Hi! This is Gojiri, I'm in a big trouble like on one hand I'm looking for a job change on the other side I'm thinking of my exams & my brother's wedding for which I need to take leaves in the month of Jan or Feb.

That's why I'm nt able to decide whether to look for a new job or if I'll get selected it wud not be good take leave for exams or for wedding within a month of joining new company. I'm totally confused with this.

Please seniors suggest me wat one shud do in such situation. Not only this, but I'm aware of market situations now that aslo scares me if I'll leave this company will there be no risk of laying off by new co. if situation worsens.

In this dilemma, I'm nt able to concentrate on study & also nt going for interview as lacking confidence of facing any questions realted to this.

One more thing I wud like to mention that on the 30th Nov'08 only our management has Closed down the whole Customer Service Department & informed the 6 people nt to come office from that day itself. On this 10th of December they have been paid thier dues whatever so.

Now u can understand whether it is good to be here or not as I'm working for last 1 yr only whereas this CSD people were working for last 4 -5 yrs, even though mgmnt. removed them within few hours.

My reason strong reason behind nt leaving this co. is I've already bcoz of boss's problems left 2 cos. one is in recruitment firm & another co.'s director everyday, daily(u might not believe me, but it is 100% true) scaring me saying that if u don't do this work properly u'll be fired & 1 fine day I got this co's offer & I left that job.

Please seniors, if u wud be in my shoes wat u wud have done , pls guide me as i'm nt attending interviews for reknown companies also bcoz of this confusion.

Please need ur support guys help me I'll be grateful for that.

Awaiting ur responses.

Take your exams and then attend the wedding. But make sure that you are serious with your current job

Hi Pravina
As per the situation concerned, it is critical but " where there is a will there is a way" isn't? And you might have known the leave policy of you company, as per that you can proceed and at the same time fist of all you had better consult your immediate superior as he may be the right person in this regard and one more important thing is you must mind the present situation of the market.
I am attaching one of the posts" leave policy"
thank and regards

Hi Praveena,
In your place I would give top priority to brother's wedding, your exams, your jobs will always be there, if your brother's wedding is scheduled for a particular date, it will happen whether you are there or not! and in your place I would choose to be with your brother :-).
As regards, exams and jobs, if you know your true strengths, you will always come out with flying colors in any exam and jobs, even in this day when they are firing people at will, you will have yours.
So, Your choice is fairly clear, is it not?
All the best!
Prasad.

Hi Praveena,
Don't quit your job as of now, after your brother's wedding and your exams you think of leaving the present job depending upon the situation that time. Since you have completed a year with your current organization i guess your seniors should not have much issues in approving your leaves.
regards,

Hello Everyone!

I've rea ur replies; but don't u people think that I'm losing good opportunities while thinking of Brother's Wedding & my exams.

One more there is no prob in getting leaves for both the thing(exam/Wedding), my question is I'm getting interview calls from MNCs as well as other good companies as I was expecting to leave this org. only for an MNC or a very good companies.

So now if I'm geeting the chance to catch that most awaited dream which about to accomplish, then Y not take a chance?

I'm worried about new company's rules & regulations; i.e. Will new org. allow me to tak leave for above things or do I have to clear this things at the time of accepting their offer?

Is there any way of getting better salary than the current one as I know ppl pays 15% - 20% on the current earnings. Then if I want to get a better amount of money in hand than wat I actually getting, is it right to give fake info about last drawn pay. Actually, I've never done such things but many of my colleagues who left our org. & joined the new organisation were given fake info about their current payments & bcoz of which they are getting almost more than double of wat they were getting here.

I know this is wrong & if sum1 caught up, then their whole career would be ruined; but then wat 1 shud do that even having good qualifications, experiences, nt getting as per desired?

Please reply.........
