Preplacement talks are basically presentation made by the company visiting a campus for recruitment. The presentation is generally made a day before the actual interviews start. The representative talk about the profile of the company, the opportunities with the company, the profile of the positions on offer. The preplacement talk can be made interactive and interesting with fun games and quizzes included. Basically this preplacement talk business will make the student stand up and say.."Hey I want 2 work in this company !! :)
Hope this was useful !!

PPT basically aims at making the students understand about the organisation history, merits and improvement factors. As well it should brief them the objective, mission, vision of the organisation.
We should be clear on what we are looking for and what you can compensate with
we shopuld also explain them the process of selection, and the expeted date of selction and expected date of joing
PPT objective is to make us to ustand and we to understand the candidates and also facilitates candidates to choose the organisation of thier sauitability.

Dear Friend,

There are various sources for recrutiment - like internal reference, recruitment via consultants, advertisement, job postings, campus placements etc.. When a company or firms choose to recruit talent pool or manpower through campus placements the ppt talk or pre-placement talk becomes visible. Preplacement talk is one such presentation done by the representatives of the company during the campus placements programme prior to the selection procedure/interview procedure begins. Generally, the pre-placement is done by the person representing the company preferably by a sr. management person (one from HR and one from Functional department). The contents to be covered in the presentation are - about the company, historical background, board of directors or management of the company, culture & people of the company, the structure/ levels/hierarchy, turnover, products and products line, locations and branches, clients and customers. In specification - Job role and job description of a prospective employee for which the placement talk is held, CTC offered, selection criteria, designation offered, work location, other benefits and facilities provided by the company, career mapping are the aspects covered in the Pre placement talk. One aspect that we have to note is there is no standard format for the presentation and it varies from company to company. The above listed aspects are generally expected int he presentation. An illustrative ppt can be downloaded from google search.

Wishing you all the very best,
