Hi Neha,
I'm not sure which course you have heard of, but I know of one course in Training and Development offered by Indian Society of Training & Development(ISTD).
This diploma is open for graduates, post graduates and experienced professionals as well, it is of one year duration, two sememsters and then 6 months to submit a project.

this couse namely 'Diploma in Trining & Development' is one of its kind in asia under distance education and i myself find it really very useful for the professionals who r interested in t & D.
course is of 18 months duration. entire course fee at present is rs. 10,000 which is going to be incresed by rs. 2500 as decided in the board meeting last night and next week a advt. will be published for fresh regn. u can check that and get enrolled its a good course & adds value in profile.

actually i m pursuing my MBA and in 3rd sem....so i just want to know that for this Jan. session can i enroll myself or is it like first I hv to finish my MBA then only i can enroll...

Nice to know ur keen interest in training & dev. i have already done this course and presently pursuing PhD in the filed of knowledge management.
i think u can MANAGE to get yourself enrolled in the said course in the next session and mention result awaited for ur MBA Qualification. what i mean to say that in the present scenario the benfits r as follows :
1. by following above u will get extra time to complete this course as u will start early before completion of ur MBA. (one can complete the course in max. 4 years)
2. I also did the same thing while pursuing my MBA i started it and used one semester extra with no effect on my continuity of education as in distance education it is not mentioned on the certificate that when u had started the course. :D
but i got enrolled on the basis of my engg. degree so if already possesing some professional degree like BE, LLB etc. it is very easy to get enrolled.
so just ring to ISTD office and get the things cleared.
3. they r increasing fee after every sem. so early enrollment can do some saving which can be used for procurement of relevant material books etc.

is there any classes or giudence from ISTD organisation for ISTD studies??
is it viable to clear the papers easily and in 1st attempt??
is these papers theory or objective ???
if i want any guidence on the subjects of ISTD material whom to approach??
only material studies are enough or outside books need to be refered???

course material is provided by ISTD which is ok but as most of the students r MBAs they already possess some material and after all www is there to sort out any problem.
ISTD has 37 chapters spread across the country. in Delhi ISD conducts Contact classes on monthly basis which r really very helpful and in all the metros also the local chapters arrange for contact classes.
for subjects like e-training and evaluation of trg., it is recommended to procurefew books at ur own for clear understanding of the concepts.
