Hi...Im an employee with EXL Service, Noida. Well, earlier we were in the Gurgaon office...working for a very good process--Orange Telecom. Then, when the process-contract expired in October 2008, we were all redeployed in the Noida offices.
However, I now want to resign and my managers are telling me to serve a months notice. Whereas, it is clearly mentioned in my "EMPLOYEE AGREEMENT" letter that "After completion of the probationary period, either the company or you may terminate this agreement without cause by giving in writing to the other party, one month's notice OR IN LIEU THEREOF, A SUM EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT OF SALARY WHICH WOULD HAVE ACCRUED TO YOU DURING THE PERIOD OR REMAINING PERIOD OF NOTICE".
I need help guys... Please support me... My managers, probably because of business requirement, are forcing me to serve a month's notice///

Hi Arjun,
Probationary period for an employee in an employer is to estimate ones personal maintain. If you perform well them you will be regularized. Know whether you are under probationary or regularized. An employee can make his own decisions in probationary whether to stick or not. It affects only in regularized.
