hi, Friends, I am pursuing MBA and doing summer training from Aditya Birla Group. The Organisation has given me a topic (CONTRACT LABOUR REGULATION & ABOLITION 1971) to make a project. I am facing difficulties with analysis of the topic because this topic is not huge on internet, it's only 10 or 12 pages and all are rules and regulations. And i think a project at least should be in 50 or 60 pages...! Plz help me how to analysis this...... confused :(:(:(

For adding more to your project you can reach to your company HR and take a list of Contract Labour and contractor engaged by them and accrodingly reach visit thier office for whole process of contract labour definetly you would find alot material also check whether they are following all the statutory complaince mentioned in Act for which they are bound to follow. Belive me your project would look a realistic project.

Contract Labour management is a huge area, you need to explore the possiblites.
1) Visit various sites and gather information regarding nature of job done by contract Labourers and Regular Employees, classified it.
2) List out various Registers and Records to be maintened under contract labour (R & A) Act 1970.
3) You may study and analyze the land mark judgement on contract labour related to Regulation and aboliation such as Supreme Court judgement in the case of Steel Authority of India V. National Union Water Front Workers and orsi (SAIL). By this judgement, the Supreme Court has overruled its earlier ruling in the Air India case, and held that even if a contract labour system is abolished, the contract workers have no right to be absorbed as permanent employees.
4) Now a days outsourcing is a hot topic, you may also include the impact of contract labor on economic policy of india.

I belive, if you can add the mention points, you report will cover almost all aspects.

actually i m doing my project on Analyzing the effectiveness of the Contract labour management system of a Company. can u all suggest me how to effectively analyze other than taking consideration the legal procedure part(like whether the Co. is following the legal matters regarding this). or could i compare the regular workers with the contract workers.............plsss help.......... :-?:-?:-?
