Hi Seniors:
i m working as a technical recruiter in Mumbai, have close to 3yrs of experience in the same. Due to recession we are being asked to resign.
As the market is not so good, i m planning to go in for a 2yrs full time MMS programme with specialisation in HR, rather than looking out for a change. Is this decision of mine right, would it affect my career in future.
kindly advise.
Best Regards,
Simna

simna.....i appreciate ur decision.....when a forest is on fire, no tree is safe (dont mind d exagerration). Studies are a far better option. But rather than a two-year programme, go for a one year programme with specialization in HR. One year because in that much time we expect the world economy to improve.............kane

Hi , kaneage :)

Hope your doing fine !!!

I will definately Appricateyour Good suggestion for Simna . I feel working for 3 years than go back to college n Concentrate will be litte diff . During these time HE/SHE cant earn also and we will dependend also . When all are facing recession ,just being in job would help .

We need to invest for college fee , with No earning also.As Simna has only 3 yrs exp and long way to go in career she can take up masters Degree or Courses.

Hi Simna, You could join a good B school for an MBA in HR. I am sure after two years you will reap the benefits. A distance learning or a prt time programme at the initial years of career does not hold good .What is your background and how old are you ? if you let me know the details i could advise you better
thnks...anshumal

Hi Simna,
I would advice you to take up another job and a part time course with it ...
With good 2-3 years of experience you can actually get a stable job but on the other hand situation is very bad ... Job market is down...
Don't invest all of your time in studies ...Job with studies is the best option...

Doing MBA is no good untill you do it from a reputed B School not on papers but in the eyes of Fortune companies and they don't read ads & promos of these inst.
So please beware from where you are doing & finally what you will gain out of it.
Indian Business/ Corporate & its HR has to go long way so dont see what is happening today...It was the best era so far India could see but things will be very different from 2009 onwards I am not saying we will not grow but not like mushrooms but much systematic & organized... so be sensible & see the picture which you can't see may be today...
