Dear All,

It's been long I haven't posted anything....Neither any query nor any HR Material....

Actually I was just in a flux.....So guys really need your advise as now dealing with the serious trouble......

I am actually in HR but as I have shifted to new job It's more Admin job rather than HR...Which these people havn't told me before...I was told something else but was given something else.....but still continuing with it as I am doing my MBR-HR thought that I should stick to this company so as to gain experience till my education gets over and also stability would be maintained....But now whatever I have planed is really not happening.....

Initially My Boss is very difficult person to handle...he only knows how to shout rest nothing....His own concepts are not really clear but he posses as if he know all......Neways this not the thing but the worst part is that if we do take initiative and design something he says "WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS...YOU AVE NO LIBERTY TO CHANGE THINGS"...and if we doesn't he says"YOU NEED TO BE MORE PRO ACTIVE...COME UP WITH IDEAS" .....Infact once we both agreed to our disagreements on the same.....In fact once I told him very clearly that "at times I don't understand what exactly you want" but ever since that argument happened he has made my working place a totally mess for me.......He tries to find out any mistake ...and pressurize me.....even if we are not much pressed on work......He tries to demoralize me with his bloody politics...In a way entire has been victimized but this time it is poor me....I just can't handle....Initially thought of quitting but considering my studies and current market situation...I understand that it is not a feasible idea.....

Plz guide friends how to handle such personality.... should I quit????this guy is really sick........I have been giving my 100 % to things but he doesn't acknowledges...it makes me demoralize.....Plz help.....seniors!!!!!!!!!

Thanks
Shweta

SWEETA,
I M NOT SURE HOW MANY SWEETA APPEAR ON THIS FORUM......:icon10:
ANYWAY... DEALING WITH BOSS IS ONE CRITICAL ISSUE SPECIALLY YOUR EXPERIENCE FELT SHORT TO HANDLE HIM AS WELL AS AUTHORITY..
YOU MUST UNDERSTAND CONFLICT IS NOT GOOD THING WITH SPECIALY EGOISTIC PERSON.. YOU ARE VIEING WITH YOUR BOSS TO PROVE YOUR WORTH AND HE IS NOT READY TO ACCEPT YOUR PRESENCE AS IMPORTANT TO HIM......:icon6:
ITS BETTER TO BUY A PEACE TACTFULLY AND JUST LISTEN HIM BECAUSE IF THERE IS NO MATERIAL FACT IN WHAT IS TELLING CHASING HIM IS WASTE.....LET HIM SATISFY......AND YOU TAKE SALARY FOR TOLERATING HIS NUISANCE........:-D

Hi Shweta
what i would sugget you is you is ,start lookin for a job, coz how long r u gonna tolerate his nuisance, even if you decide to tolerate, how long are you really gonna do it, 3months,6months or next 1 yr...how long..? someday is going to come when you are going to quit, so why not now...? i acknowledge that there is ression going in the market but, keep searchin, you never know...you might just get a job that you always wanted to have.

Dear Shwetha,
I would suggest you to list down the activities you do and understand the areas in HR. Be patient for a month or so and then look for a change. you would have these apprehensions but you need to learn and try to manage them. In case you are looking for a change message me so that I can help to get you some opportunities.

Hello Shweta,
I think Vrocks is right start looking out for a job coz you staying in this organization would mean no growth and your work will never be appreciated.Staying too calm and being too good is not going to work out...play smart....
If possible escalate the matter to the higher authorities if you cant handle it.Finally think of reasons why you dont need to stick around to the job excluding the current market situation. The job given to you is not what you wanted, your immediate boss is making life difficult to you...which leads to a lot of stress and unhappiness which is apparent from your blog above.
Nothing matters in life at the end of it all its your well being and happiness and trust me i have been in your place and i quit in two months time and today i am happy i took a decision. So relax and do not stand any nonsense from your boss
Take care,

Dear Shweta,Chill out. I know its easier said than done. But,all the pblms arise if u dont accept things . My suggestion play it safe, go as per ur boss wants , this will save u some time for looking out for new oppurtunities. Also, i think ur approach of placing things in front of boss is wrong . u should make him feel that its his ideas and let him take credit for the new intiative if it is suceessfull at all, later on ,slowly u can start claiming credit and also as ur exprience increases , u dont look out for credit but results. best of luck.regards,anand.

Take this matter to the management.Changing jobs will not help. You never know how will the next boss be.So how many jobs will you change?

Dear Shweta,
My answer may look strange to you, but I cann't stop myself from sharing my experience. My self also working in HR and same thing is faced by me in the begnining of the career and on one occassion even worst, it was kind of a humilation.

But I fought it and eventually promoted in the next year and after that I quit from that company, and now I have a very good reputation with my that boss.

In such kind of situation it may look like that we are right and our boss is scolding us with no fault of our, but ever anybody tries out by keeping self in the shoes of the Boss, why he is behaving like that, I know it may seems to be difficult by thinking like this. But just give a chance to yourself by thinking in that direction. You can even take a note from shouting, that why he is shouting and scolding. That may be a learning stage and you can learn a lot from that. Always have a positive mind and be ready to grasp the positive thing from his scolding.

And as far as the changing of the job is concern, I think you are the best judge to take a decision, in this situation. As we won't be able to judge about both the sides of the coin, from mere listening the situation from your side, one has to wear your shoes for understanding the situationof yours. The things which you are sharing is the only one side of the coin.

Hi swetha,
As Badlooser said, Boss is always Boss. Right now u r the person getting trained in pshycology. HR major face is to study the pshycology. HR is not only Human Resource, we say it as High Risk.... If you want to be HR, then take assignment to tackle him, dont argue with boss. Even he is playing politics, u have to play... All HR should be Diplomatic.
You are having the talent, tat u come to know he is playing politics, then u know how to solve that...
see if u r taking any way, it will have one destination. wen the way choosed, destination also choose.
then u try to play politics tacktfully, make him satisfied with ur intelligence. When u r having the capacity to find the problem, then u can solve it. many person dont know to find the problem, but they are winning with of others also. then why cant u?
