Hi Aparna,
Nothing to worry, don leave the company without any offer in hand. your 2 months experience will get counted but it will not give much impact for ur next employment. I wud suggest, don change the company now, be thr for 6months to 1year and thn look for a change. You can post me for more clarification.....Keep rockin......:icon1:

Hi Rahul,
Dont get disappointed, as it is a small company there is lot of scope to learn and implement new things. Why dont you take intiative to bring some new policies and procedures, this is the correct time to learn, you wil get plenty of time to free your self, ones you get into a big company den the story might be different.
i would rather suggest the following which can help you in future:
1. Training and Development
Leadership Training, Softskills Training - You shld prepare this and strive to get the deliverables.
2. Employee Satisfaction Survey

3. Maintain Employee Relations.
4. Rewards and Awards Programme.
As you said its a small company you can plan something related to non monetary rewards, which helps in recognizing employee and motivating them which inturn results in retention.
I would be wondering if you already done with all these, if so then therz nothing much to learn .................:-P

Hi Aparna and Rahul,
u guys dont leave your present job as others say coz now the market is very dull that you may find it difficult to get into another job.so be patient enough and stick on for sometime. As others say, make use of your free time and update your knowledge. Its always good to learn n this is the right time.

Hi Aparna & Rahul,
You have to continue with your organisations, as well as you have to update your Resume and try out and know the knowledge of trend, what type of questions(On which subject) interviewer is asking, analyse yourself where you lack in that and develope yourself in that area. Put into practise with that company(where u r working) like employee surveys, welfare activities. You have to create work yourself.
Finally market situation is not good.

Hi,

The same situation is with me.

I have around 4+ yrs of exp in HR from starting I started my courier in small company, initially I was also very frustrated that I am working in small company.

But then I realize that there are many way & things which I can try out with the knowledge & exp. I have. So I started making training program making policies for Organization, conducting training programs etc.

Offshore may this HR forum help me a lot.

This way I tried to develop my self & learn new things & then try to implement it in the organization.

In this way now I am moving in my courier & now currently I am working as HR Manager in one of the small organization having employee strength around 35.

I learn a lot while working with this companies but now after 4 yrs of exp. some where again the things started coming up in my mind that now I need a good Big company break so the rest things I will able to learn which are not possible to implement in small organization.

So I think initially it is good to work in small organization learn all basic things required for & get the full knowledge.

Thanks & Regards,
Harshada

Hi Harshada
You are absolutely correct, both of you don't worry at all its not the end of your career there are many more opportunities coming your way so stick to it and wait for the right opportunity and meanwhile update yourself with the latest in HR and get some good tricks to crack the interviews.
always keep one thing in mind that the interviewer can only ask you those things which you have mentioned in your CV nothing more they can ask so prepare yourself good in whatever you have written in the CV with set examples and prove your ability.
Thanks
