Nomination is effective only on the non availability of the member (ie)death and that too for sharing his pf accumulations among the nominees. In case of the absence of the Nomination, a legal heirship certificate will do. So, let your friend not to worry about this - let him nominate any one of his wife,if he is capable of managing the local quarrel.
