First of all you must know what purpose you need job description, generally in most of Indian companies job desrcriptions are written to justify employees position and salary. But there is no proper connection being establish between job description and salary or in other words no mechanism is used to define the job description.

Job description is tool which is result of the job analysis exercise and you have to conduct interview and prepare questionnire for each position.

Then decide number of factors that you feel appropriate to compensate and will be the factors for compensation.
