Could u please let me know, an Auditor is authorized to check HR related Personal files, records, computers? Can he check all these??
Please advise.

Hai,
An auditor can verify any documents which he thinks necessary for the successful completion of his audit and if you are not providing it he can add comments in his auditors report regarding the same and it will be more dangerous for the company.

As per me, the purpose of Auditing is to check the system of the company, whether the system is implemented as per the existing policies or not, An internal auditor deployed by the company can check all the records of any department, Auditing is always helpful to effective implementation of procedures , polices and statutory compliance.
It is a proactive measure to check the system.

Audior can check any information to cmplete the audit For instance when the auditor is checking the payroll related information, if sees a payment of Notice period buy out against particulat employee, he can check with the concerned recruiter for the necessary approvals.

An Auditor is obviously to check the accounts related of the company and with related to HR, he may need to audit the salaries, appraisals of the employees, payments made for subscribing for portals, Statutory compliances like PF, PT, ESI and can definitely help if there lies any loop holes with the company.

I think a company appoints an auditor to make its systems better & more transparent .
I know that there are some files realated to HR , which can't be disclosed to all employees.
Even then , we all must provide a helping hand to the auditors , to the extent possible, as they are here just to make our systems & policies better.
