SAP HR or SAP -- HR MODULE is one of the largest modules in the SAP R/3 system which consists of many sub modules like
  1. Organizational Management
  2. Personnel Administration
  3. Recruitment
  4. Time Management
  5. Payroll
  6. Benefits
  7. Compensation Management

  9. Budget Management
  10. Personnel Development
  11. Training & Event Management

Many of these sub modules are further sub divided into many components for e.g. Time Management is further divided into Time Administration, Shift Planning, Incentive Wages and Time Sheet. Environment Health & Safety is further divided into Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene & Safety.

Dear Friends,
Anyone with experience in General HR, can switch to SAP. But, once you change the field you will be part of the normal IT professionals. As far as scope and career is concerned, there is lot of potentials in SAP HR and also in terms of compensation. But the work will be challenging. Even in this recession affected market, there are plenty of opportunities available. But one has to involve him/her fully into the same, do complete R&D, etc. Hope this clears some doubt.
