Dear seniors,
In this forum we share information,gv beautiful ppt,e-bks etc.All for help.Few days back on replying to one mail here, I proposed to contribute Rs.5-10/- per member/pm to contribute for real victims(HR seniors will be sole decision making body). We can contribute to flood victims, real needy but meritorios student persuing HR etc.
Beside making ourselves rich(in terms of knowledge and skill),possibly we can extend helping hand to few persons, offer them a 'smile' on their face!
What do the seniors say? anyone to take this responsibility?
I will be eager to know the respond from Professionals/members!
Regards!

The question is how can one contribute 5-10 Rs. There should be some medium, cheques, DD, or during Citehr meets.

This is not appropriate for this site. If you wish to send the begging bowl round use a charity site.

There are many ways. However one should prefer secured and ethical charity sites for safe transactions.

Dear Lahiri,
Season Greetings
I would like to put my sincere thanks to you for approach for the same. But I would to share my opinion in this regard. I'm totally against in the charity done by donating money or any other means. What I believe is doing the same with involvement of myself in the situation. What We have seen [not in your case], people take all the relief materials and money for their personal utilization. This gives me a negative impression of donating money or any relief materials.
What I suggest, Is to do the manpower work [in hindi- shhram Daan] at the site itself. i dont know how many members will agree, but I'm ready for the suggestion given. I would also like to extend my apology for the comments posted. May god give bless the persons died in the flood and bless their souls.

Hey Sparky,
just FYI...its not begging bowl...its charity when you whole-heartedly share ur earnings for a good cause. If you dont feel like it then dont bother giving ur opinion on it. Please refrain from using such immature phrases.

Hi all
Lahiri 's suggestion is praiseworthy and we must seriously think about it and find ways to collect funds on a regular basis for the needy. I can't understand how some HR people replies are so rude and selfish.
By the way, I am Ashok Fowdar from Mauritius. Lately I was quite busy with some family and professional matters. Henceforth, I hope I would be able to participate actively in the HR forum.
I am the head of HR department of a French Multinational Construction firm (COLAS) based in Mauritius and we speak mainly french language. I am married, two children and have visited Incredible India, the land of my forefathers on two occasions. I Love India and its people.
My greetings to everybody
Ashok
