Can somebody give me an insight into what is Resource Management Group? What is its scope? What are the Objectives?:confused:
Also, what is the scope of RMG from a Recruiter point of view, because I am into Recruitment currently and the company wants me to take over RMG too.....

Hi Sonu,

I work for Sonata software as Asst. Mgr -Resourcing & Talent Mgt. RMG is responsible for Replenishing , Managing , tracking & utilizing the resources of the company to the optimum level. The activities of RMG includes interacting with the Business Groups and understanding thier resource needs, planning & forecasting the future reqts. , deciding on the sourcing channels like staffing through internal resources, contracting, direct recruitement & campus hiring.
RMG also has to counsel Non-performing resources , keep track of it and take nescesary actions when reqd.
since it is the custodian of the company's talent pool it should have the complete data about the skills available in the company. Hence the job of updating & tracking skills.
It is responsible for managing & utilizing bench resources etc.

In short it will be the interfae between the Delivery groups and all other service groups like , general HR-recruitment, Training dept., etc.
