We're a mid-size engineering & construction company (around Rs. 500C revenues, 1000 employees of which only 10% will need access to HR system as the others are project site level - so payroll component is for all 1000 employees but HR for only 100). We've been evaluating various applications for HR but finally shortlisted these two:

1. empXtrack (Saigun):
Pros: well thought out functionality and modules. Cohesiveness between modules and future integration
Cons: Being a small company, has presence only in metros, primarily NCR, hence less reponsive to non-metro sites and/or customers

2. myadrenalin (polaris):
Pros: easier UI, helps in training everyone. Basic functionality which everyone can grasp
Cons: very lightweight & plain vanilla. Ask them about balance scorecard and they say yes, we've heard of that.

Can anyone suggest their views on either or both of these solutions or, perhaps, another one they recommend. We run on SAP (since 1 year) the basic modules such as FI, MM, SD, etc. but HCM is a tough pill to swallow for a company such as ours (lot of employees in an unorganized sector).

From a price angle, myadrenalin is cheaper than empxtrack for both hosted and perpetual model.

hi there,
With the size structure that you are talking about you definitely need to consider other options that would not only be cost effective (of course) but also well efficient. Further upgrades and after sales services would also be compatively much cheaper and regular.
I suggest you visit www.smileserm.com - a part of global groupware and IBM Beacon Awards winner 2008.
You could contact them on 09320065359 and atleast take a free demo on the same.
Hope that helps. all the best.
Regards,
Imran.

Hi,
As you need to impliment the same HR module for only 100 Employees, You can find out any company who can make this module for you with your personalised need. I think that will not take much time and it will be the cost effective thing for you. I even know a company who has developed this entire HRMS system but that is costing somewere arround 6 Lacs.
If you get it prepared hiring some good small size company in development you will be able to get it at the 1/4 of the rate mentioned a`bove.

Hi
Apart from Adrenalin we also evaluated Minerva from Minvesta & Mafoi people.
It is very neatly designed and the userfriendly ness and organised way of presenting the software is a very impressive.
The reporting too is also good and you may have a look at it.
Price and userfriendly ness wise we have shortlisted Minerva and adrenalin.
