Form 12A is a register, or as per my knowledge, what we call a "muster roll" in which all the details regarding the employee and the employer's contribution in the PF account of an individual are mentioned.

Hi,

I would like to know what Form 12-A is and why it is used. The Form 12-A is a monthly return of the EPF Act, 1952. It's compulsory for the employer to submit Form 12-A to the PF office before the 21st of every month.

Hi Jituraj,

As per my understanding, you are talking about the Form 12A from the Provident Fund, right?

Form 12A is a consolidated statement of dues and remittances of all the employees, whether they are joiners or resignees. It has to be submitted to the Regional PF office along with Form 5 and 10 within 20 days of the close of the month.

I hope the above statement may clarify your point.

Regards,
