Hello Everyone,
I hope this finds you well. I really liked this forum therefore just joined in. I have been looking for an answer for a question and have really browsed alot but couldn't!
Is it possible to be employed at A Company, and at the same time own a B company in the UAE?
I am an employee in the Dubai Media City i.e. TECOM freezone (DIC DMC KV) an I am happy with my job but also want to go ahead an start my own business in a completly different field. Can I accomplish it? Any restrictions?
I have read the UAE Labor Law but this topic is not at all covered.
You comments are appreciated, since I wouldn't want to end up in trouble and waste time by going ahead blindly :)

Dear Yousirname (What is your name ?)
To the best of my knowledge, once under somebodys sponsorship, you cannot have business in your own name (i.e. legally on your name).
The best source will be to have details from consultants or DCCI
Cheers

Dear friend, you can do the business with your family memabers name or wife name, but as per the UAE Laws, if your employee you should work for one employer only. Regards
