Dear All,Given the vast improvements in technology and dependence of many companies on their in-house career portals, what is the future of recruitment consultancies?A lot of companies seem to be using their HR recruiters for end-to-end recruitment work, including sourcing and short listing of profiles....What do these trends portend for recruitment consultants? What about the down turn in the economy and its impact on recruitment business?Would appreciate if experienced recruiters / consultants on this forum could throw some light on new trends in recruitment and strategies to tide over unfavourable circumstances...What is the value add that a recuitment agency brings to the table?Regards,SD....

Dear friend,
Your right, today most of companies are getting involve in end-to-end recruitment process to reduce error in outsourcing process and executing all process themselves to make it more effectiveness on quality control parameter which require vertical knowledge, and I do not think outsourcing one function of the process would be cost effectiveness for any corporate bodies.
It is likely that the industry will see an improved focus on particular specialist. In recruitment, there is an up-and-coming trend towards specialist agencies to support specific process and sectors, such as who can handle hole recruitment automated process, and it is likely that understanding of a particular client requirement, process and industry will become more attractive.
Many thanks
