hi,
is it worth while to join a big us based it comapny rather than an indian it company ( now merged with a us company)
actually i have information ( thru interview) that the big us company put its new employees (sap consultants) into activities like testing, loading etc but not into core configuration of software . i have only one yr of sap support experience.
but u know the above activities are really non core from the point of view of a sap functional consultant.
i have no information abut how the indian company put its employees into. ya one thing for sure , i will be on bench with this company for some time.
but people perception says that the small companies are better than the big ones in terms of learning.
any commnets.

Hi
As per the info provided by you my opinion would be:
You can get maximum exposure in the small time company as you would be into core development and along with that if you are interested in getting into other allied functions you can.
Where as in Big companies your domain is restricted and moreover at the begining of the career its not advisable to limit your self to a specified functionality.
So look at the exposure at the begining of the career and later on you can specialise in a specific domain.

Ram
