Dear all,
I am in a dilema with regards to whether "attendence bonus" or "attendence incentive".
What is the right term to be used. We're giving this so as to improve the attendence of employees.
another question is, "how should this be added in the salary break up?" as we're planning to give this every month to all employees who are regular in attending office.
Please give your valuable feedback.
thanks and regards

Dear all,
I agree with both the comments, on one hand it is usefull to give attendance bonus so as to motivate employees for reguler attendance on the other hand it can mislead them for making absentes.
I would suggest to reward the employees with maximum number of presents on monthly quarterly or on annual basis. This will not only reduse the company cost and maintain the decorum but will help you to reduse the absentieesm also.

Dear Sparky, daleep and Kumar,
Thank you very much for the valuable opinions and suggestions.
Dear Kumar,
I have some more queries. Since you said you show it in payslip of employees. Do you give it out everymonth to all employees whose attendence is 100%?
What is the policy you follow for giving attendence bonus to your employees?
Do you deduct tax from attedence bonus also ?
let me know so that i can also frame a proper attendence bonus policy/scheme.

Hie,
Call it Attendance Incentive...I think.
Where you have a well laid down structure of Key Result Areas wth a total of 100% score for all theTasks, you can use the same KRA document to insert the Key Activity, e.g.
Attendance-could make-up 10% of yo full KRA Structure where an employee is able to attend all days in 4 wks you give 10%. Where they attend 2wks yu pay 5%, one week yu pay 2.5%.
An incentive is meant to give an extra energy to the staff to be able to do a specific task-otherwise they must just do it or they face disciplinary action for non performance.
You cannot put a lot of money on incentivising staff to attend work though....
