Regarding salary deductions for a software company... do we have to follow any rules in pension schemes. if yes then please any one let know about that?
How should be the income tax deducted. Has the employer have to do it for the employee in his salary break up?
Help friends!!

Hi Arun,
Our is just 6 months old company and main players are joined in this company and am heading the department HR & Admin.
Since we have already 10, applied for PF code and got the same. Now I am working on to get the ESI code for our company.
We are into manufactuirng composite structural core materials and monopoly in the market and supplying our products to wind sectors.
We are in Irungattukottai SIPCOT Industrial Park, deep backside of Hyundai Motors. I think we are also one of the companies there in the park not supplying to Hyundai. Most of the companies are Hyundai suppliers there. Hence I am finding it difficult to interact with the HR guys there in the park.
How about you? where are you? share your details too.

:cool:Dear Maha,
there are lots of Rules in PF. PF is not only deduct the amount 12% from the both side. and ESI is not only deduct 4.75, 1.75%. You have to take care all the accounts into consideration before deducting these amount.
If you need this You can mail me at

Hi Suji..
Both emlpoyer and employee contribution are 12% each.
From employer contribution of 12% 8.33% goes for pension plans.
If employee wants to voluntarily contribute more than 12% he can do that using VPF i.e Voluntary provident fund scheme. Employer can even contribute 100% of his income to PF.
For employer it is enough to contribute max 12%
Hope this information helps.
Anymore queries suji.

Hi Arun
Jus saw ur reply to Sonam regarding payslip structure.
Your details with relate to pay details was really helpful . But a small correction to this. If an employees basic + DA pay is less than or equal to Rs.6500, then PF is must. Or else it is voluntary. Hope i am correct as i have just dealt with PF for my office.
