Hi Everybody,
I am working for a Pvt Ltd. company, I have got a govt. job, but the process would take another 3-5 months to get the appointment letter in hand, now, should I inform my current company about this & when should I inform them about this?
Still I have not got the department and location allocation, I am waiting for the same.
Also suggest me which one to opt, should I opt for Govt. or a Pvt. job.

Hello
You have hell a lot of time to get the offer. Why do you confuse now itself. Also government jobs are not that worth nowdays i hope. Most of the people earn in private concern very soon, save for future and then will stop working after a certain age. Also they can do any business or some work related to their previous jobs in future.Don tell anything to ur current company about it and do ur job peacefully.
If u feel that ur government job will be secure ,u can decide to leave at the time u get the offer letter. As said by Mr.Ashok, government jobs are not that much good to opt for nowdays.Since there wont be growth both personally and knowledge wise also.
Anyway, All the best.

Im working in Central Govt Orgsn on contractual position.
the job is somewhat easy, you get lots and lots of free time in which you can do part time business, jobs, etc and earn more money, and your job security is there...
Another thing which is the best in Govt Jobs is the Pension, and other facilities part....
Even the idea of giving jobs on compassionate grounds, which really helps the family of govt servant in distress, ive seen many people known to me who have joined, Govt Service, because their father , expired while in service,,, so this facility of Govt not only gave assurance but also employment opportunity to the kins of govt servants.
These facilities are not provided by private cos, and in todays world , no good man can survive in private cos, u need to pull others down to get up..

Thank you friends, for taking time and giving me your valuable suggestions.

Now frankly speaking, Iam a diabetic patient, working for a consultancy, where in I have to achieve my targets, but there are no proper requirement also BDE too.

As always my sugar level will be good control, this time recently when I went for a routine blood sugar check up, where in my sugar level was high, and BP too was high, Doctor says it is due to stress and she also asked to quit my job or go for a long leave. This point of time, what should I do?

Hi,
Now a days Strees has become a common thing in everybody life.
as your case, you have not mentioned that what kind of Govt job you have got and what is your present job. as for as stress is concerned, some jobs both in Govt. and private sectors are same.
So, carefully eveluate both the job benifits, threats and opperunities and take the decision.once you take the decision to join the Govt job, then you can inform your present mangament when your are going to quit.

Thank you Sasi. Yes, even Dr. advised me the same as you.
Anil - As I said I am a recruiter in a consultancy, wherein I need to achieve my targets, now a days there are no proper requirement where we can generate revenue. There is no BDE too in our company to generate business, in this sceneraio we should achieve our given target, company is not bothered abt the kind of requirement, but only abt the billing.
I have got a typist job in govt. with better pay.

Hi Prabha,
Here few things are to be considered..
Why did you choose this current position, is this your passion or financial requirements. because if it is financial requirements then you can apt for the Govt. job. ( Less stress, limited working hours and other benifits etc..)otherwise choose another organisation where you have ( less stress) and ample ortunity for job satisfaction and career growth.
few tips which I believe to overcome stress.
1. first, accept stress is a part of modern life and do
2. regular excercises like yoga, meditation and ofcourse good diet.
3. read your religious books ( they will teach us the way of happy living)
4. if possible ( financial & other aspects permits) leave the job and take the profession which you like most.
Senior please suggest me if i am wrong..

Goes without Saying.....Govt Job always enjoys privilege over Private Jobs....See the New Pay commission recomendations that are being implemented....Govt Jobs are better...as the culture of boss dominating is less, less harrassment, time bound jobs, you will have ample free time for yourself....can pursue part time course or job or hobbies, Most Importantly 100% surety that you job is safe till 58 yrs even if you meet certain unforeseen circumstances....Hence go for a GOVT JOB now as they have made it mandatory that 3 promotions u would get definitely now...
