Dear Friends,

Some days before there was good post/article by on of our friends on Extramarital affairs with collegues, even we had two shocking incidents in Bangalore which led to the death of two couples of Top MNC in Bangalore. Finally the reason for death was traced as extramarital affair.

I had circulated that article to all my collegues.

The main story is, couple of days before we found 2 of our collegues - both married are having a harsh arguments, when enquired we came to know that they are having an extramarital affair. Since both of them are very hard working & very keen on their assignments we didn't wanted to loose them & We didnt have any thing to do with their personal life, so we called them and just warned them not to indulge in any arguments or fighting in the office premises. After that the lady was absent for 2 days, 3 day she is back to work. There was no discussion on their relationship, now a days rest of our collegues started gossiping & discussing on their relationship & some one took the extreme step of informing our Hero's wife.

The next day the lady villian came with her brother to office and created a hell in the office premises. We had a very tough time in sending them off the office premises. With this incident the lady got fedup & deceided to leave the city & wanted to relocate to some other city & a new job. since we didnt wanted to loose them, we offered her to Transfer her to our Mumbai office & she accepted also. Now our hero also wants to be transfered to Mumbai office with out the knowledge of their family members.

Do not entertain these sort of activities inside the office premises,let them do what ever they want strictly outside the office.
As an ideal HR you should call them and convince them to maintain the descency and decorum which is prescribed by the company.
if it is happening again take strong disciplinary actions.
The Company is More important than the persons.

Din't you ask your hero y does he want a transfer to Mumbai(i know u know abt it but let him speak). Apart from that you can tell the employee that transfering someone somewhere company decides about it, not the employees choice.

Only Godess Bhavani can help in such a situation.
We come across such incidents more often now a days, which is a result of materialistic thinking. Our ancient ethos are almost vanished. There is need to give inputs from our religious scriptures to avoid repitions. To me shifting to Mumbai will not solve the problem, there is need to counsel the incumbents on spiritual and religious value systems.
As old teachings are being dropped from school sylabus, the entire generation is moving on the wrong path. There is need to conduct various training programmes, which will change the mind set of the people at large and IT professionals in particular.

The decision to tranfer an employee solely depends on organization considering the individual and organizational needs.
You are already aware of the reason of the employees request ......so why do you want to create another ruckus.

Dear Bhavani,
I do agree with the replies posted. Please dont entertain scuh requests of transfer as transfer should be according needs of the company and employee. And as you said that the rest of the employees have come to know abt the 'love story' then accepting such request may spoil the environment

I dont understand, if two people wants to spend their, life together, y other people have a problem. y should the company not retain them, just coz they want to spend life together...
well if they are creating problems, and the lady has decided to stay away from him, and move on.. then y should'nt the company not retain them...
Its strange to c that, people are more interested in their personal life, and less in work life..
Work is work, it should do nothing, with what their personal life is into...

One can build strong relationship within the office with office friends .But,The relationship limit should be always kept in mind.

Office ethics should be kept in mind to maintain decorum of office.I know office has nothing to do with persona life since the work of individual is more important.

But,in today’s world with good Quality of work one should always posses all the Job attributes.

Hi,

Though it is very natural for any organization to put best efforts to retain its best people. while going through the posting i realised that a couple of measures were taken by the company to avoid such occurences in future, like warning them, posting the lady to another location by her choice but still the problem is not solved. and having experienced the drama in the office premises once and having no assurance about the repeated acts by applying any idea to sort it, I will advocate the TERMINATION of both the employees.

Though they were very good performers but after such incidences its tuff to believe that they will regain the momentum and do justice to their jobs. Further it not only creates an unrest among just two of them but as rightly mentioned by you it afftects the environment of the office as all gossips, discussions, debates for such thing starts taking place which is not good for the company. also i believe that such decision from the managements end will act as a warning to other employees so that such other incidents can be checked from entering in the office premises in future.

This is just a view from my end based on the situation described in your post. Wish u luck to manage it in a better way.
