Hi Urvashi,

The thing is how much patience do u have??? .. To stick to an organization like yours and work. In the end of the day everything boils down to money and job satisfaction. Know in your case you should decide whether u are happy in both the factors or any one. U should start considering better options if u are not happy with any of the factors. U could explain it to the other company that why did u make a move like resigning. There won’t be any negative impact.

Know getting yourself in your employer’s shoes, they wouldn’t be in a position to explain what is going wrong coz of many reasons one could be a panic could spread on the remaining working employees and if they leave suddenly u certainly know what would happen then. Second could be that after a month or two the situation could stabilize like before and u all guyz could get the salary and the benefits on time.

Retaining at this point is difficult; either the employee should be told that the situation would be in control in a month’s time or any other thing which would be best at that moment.

Hope this advice helped you.

Thanks

Hi urvasi,As an HR its ur responsibility to hold the ppl. I am there in sam ekind of situation. But one advantage for me is my Tec leaders are helping me to retain there juniors..Is that ur tec leaders are also not interested to be with ur company? And the mgmt should be transperent in this kind of situations. U take the help of Team leaders ...explain then the situation and try to convince all employees together with the TL's. If TL are understanding then ur tension can be reduced, coz there should be some kind of bonding twd the superiors from the ppl. Also discuss with ur boss how to slove this prob and how long this issue will run. If he gives u genuine reason .... u convince the ppl stating teh same thig. Or if ur not able to hold them let the mgmt meet the empl face to face... conduct a meeting with them and let them explain teh situation... Changing ur job wont be the right decision as u may have to face bigger problem in future also... Let it be ur experience in managing the ppl. Hope u can get through of this situation. Hi All,
I do have a similar experience to share with you. After the retirement from
Central govt job, my father joined a Pvt. Company as an Head- HR&IR. Since the company had nearly 6-7 Crores profit monthly with nearly 2000 employees. the comoany didnt pay the salary to their employees on time. They do have the monthly salary date from 25-26. But the employees used to get the salary after one month. to make the matter more worse, they have the policy that they have all their all leaves paid. Say if you want to take your CL, they will deduct the salary for that CL. With the repeated request, the employee were upset, and the company used to have the attrition rate of nealry 40-42% monthly. During my interview with my father, the company promised every good perk would be given to my father, but the problem started very first month itself.
My father resigned the very first month and is currently working with a reputed company.

Urvashi,
i was working for an IT company as well, my problem was similar to your and since i was heading the department and reporting to the MD of the company i would have frequent discussions with him regarding this issue. I gave them about 6-7 months to improve, but it just didn't matter to them. i think you should put your foot down on this issue and let them know that it is not going down well with the employees.
By the way i do not agree to 10th being the date for salary as it is not a healthy practise.
Be a little strict or nothing is going to happen.

Hi
Apart from it's being demoralizing and a great inconvenience to the emplyoees , it also denotes that there is something seriously wrong with the business of the company. The continuing pattern shows that the company is in financial trouble . What you have described is a very rare instance and should not have continued month after month. Or it could be a planned exercise to close down the business without much of employees related hassles!
Your concern for the company is appreciated but you should also look up to your career and future . I feel you should seek a change. Staying and working with the company in such kind of a scenario will definitely not be pleasant.
Best of Luck
Mohan.

Hey Urvashi,
hope you are fine but one other you are not fine as well due to you Salary delayed problem.
There are couple of reason company has adopted this style.
1 )Facing Financial Problam (Importance High)
2) May be some of your organizationa employee suggested them to pay twice a month.
what i suggest you should talk with your HR Department beacuse they are concerned people.
if you have any questions please let me know
Hassan
