Hi Nidhi,
The welcome kit is given on the day of the induction / orintation of the new joinees to the organisation. This may be maybe not on the same day of the joining else on a particular day wherein quite a few new joinees can attend.
The welcome kit bascially would be having
1. The offer of appointment
2. Annexures - remuneration, terms of employment, checklist.
3. Appraisal form
4. Salay account form
5. Insurance details
6. System admin requisition forms
7. PF forms and other account dept forms
8. Employee Handbook - if very elaborate not necessary to be given. posted on the intranet with a feedback form.
This is what we are following in our company. Hope this should be fine.
Regards
DG
